The Breadwinner Trailer
Hey
here is the first trailer of the new Cartoon Saloon film, The Breadwinner. It's a teaser trailer so some scenes are very quick, but there is are 2 styles in the film and we used Moho to create the cutout looking one, compositing in Nuke. Hopefully there will be more promotional stuff coming in the next few months to get a better look at it.
enjoy

Re: The Breadwinner Trailer
That looks great! I saw Song of the Sea recently and loved it. I look forward to seeing more.
Re: The Breadwinner Trailer
Sadly, I missed out seeing The Breadwinner in theaters but it arrives on Netflix (U.S.) today. Yay!
Can't wait to get home tonight to watch it.

Re: The Breadwinner Trailer
I thought I would post these things here as well, there is not alot of moho shown, but its a bit of info on how we used moho and nuke on the Breadwinner

Thanks for sharing this. Pretty amazing workflow across Moho and Nuke, also impressive the resolution you built some shots in (up to 20K!)amanandink wrote:I thought I would post these things here as well, there is not alot of moho shown, but its a bit of info on how we used moho and nuke on the Breadwinner

It's beautiful! I will try to catch it on Netflix.
I loved the 2.5D gouache look for the background for the text.
What particle system did you use for the flying embers toward the end?

Re: The Breadwinner Trailer
Wow, it's very very interesting pipeline! I see, characters used in Moho were solid colored, and textures were added later -- what does it mean? You scripted Moho to replace vector proxies with raster images or to export all animation data for each bodypart to Nuke?
