layers disappear when put into bone layer
The title says it. I have a vector layer that I've created shapes in and when I create a bone layer and put the vector layer in, it disappears. I've then tried just creating a bone layer, creating a new vector, and create a shape and it just doesn't work.

Both are visible in the layers window?
Try zooming out to see if some how the layer is getting offset.

I had this happen once or twice, and it was always that the Z value of the bone layer was some number other than zero.
Try this: Select the bone layer. Then go over to layer tools, & pick layer transform, and look at the values in the layer position windows (top left). If the Z axis value is not zero, then your vector layer is probably way off somewhere, and you can find it by zooming out, as Dueyftw suggests.
In my case it was happening because under preferences I had the "center new layers" box checked, and it kept creating layers with z value of 3.5 or something weird. I had to go through and check the value of the Z axis in quite a few layers until I realized what was doing it.
