Viewing Assembled Bones

Post by kaput »

Something that really bugs me is when I have a character set up with bones, and when I have to rescale or reposition it (on frame 0), it's broken up - therefore, all my positioning is guesswork, then I check if it's right, break it up again and reposition...basically, what I'd like to see is the option to "lock" the skeleton into its assembled position.
Does that make any sense?

I don't know if you are exactly reffering to this, but I always have wanted/needed a tool option in frame zero to can rescale all the skeleton (or his individual chains) at a time to can adjust it easily and quickly when chararcter's design or size changes or even if I want to use my skeleton "setup" to another similar character... Actually the bone adjustment work must be done one by one and having to re-adjust bones alineation constantly, a way of work that consums too much time and have not much sense at this days, isn't? Well, I hope all this doesn't be beside the point  ...BYE!

It will all scale together, yes, but the problem is that I can't see the assembled character while scaling it. Therefore, it's mostly guesswork what it'll be like when it's assembled.
