Cannot get View>show output only working.

Anime Studio Pro Ver.11.2.1
MacBook Pro OSX El Capitan Ver 10.11.6
I can not get the View> show output only. I still see the object outside of the frame.
Help. Please. Thank you.

try resetting the View, if you select a workspace tool and reset view button appears top left corner.

check in

edit / preferences / editor colors

there's a swatch for "view output only" -- set the colour and opacity that you want to use to obscure the area outside the output area.

@hayasidist: Your info solved the problem. Preferences>editor colors.
It was set on a transparency setting.
Is that like a mask? Just curious.

I think it's just like a vector shape with a hole in it that gets plonked on top of the visible work area - the hole covers the output area; the coloured part covers the rest... must say I've never bothered to see if it has a blend mode other than 'normal'

I normally have mine set to semi-transparent so it darkens the area outside of the blue 'render region', and not completely block it.
