This disturbs me quite when using the Free hand tool (F) -- Any idea how to hide red bounding box enclosing latest stroke segment when drawing freehand?
Help is appreciated!
That box appears when you have a shape selected (a shape can be the color of a stroke, fill or both).
It shouldn't be visible while you are drawing (I'm testing here and it's not visible).
Please try pressing Esc in the keyboard. That will unselect the shape.
Another option is to go to the Style window and check 'Checker selection'. That won't unselect the shape, but the red box will be replaced by a transparent checker pattern inside of the shape.
Thanks for feedback!
That's odd: Other YT-instructions confirms your proposition, but not in my case
Yes pressing Esc (or continue drawing) unselect the segment, but the problem's the same. Checker select hides box but leaves the stroke otherwise strange. Can you see any wrong conditions in this video clip? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QVJKgQ ... sp=sharing
Ok, I see it now.
First, you are using a beta version, so it could carry some bugs fixed in the released version.
Now, this issue is unrelated to that. You have 'Auto close' checked and 'Auto fill' unchecked. These two options create a closed shape, but without a fill visible (you can see there's an unpainted line connecting both ends of the stroke). That's why the software selects each stroke you make, considering it as a full stroke+fill shape.
Just uncheck the 'Auto close' option. That should fix the problem.
