Head turn with image based character Rig?
I have an image/bitmap based character rig and I was wondering how do I make two image layers switch between each other? To be more in depth with my question, I have an image layer for the characters head facing forward and an image layer for the characters head facing left. I have an action bone that I want to use to control the rotation of the head, only problem is on the timeline I can't figure out how to make the head facing forward layer disappear and the head facing left layer to replace it. How can I make the layers disappear on the timeline to allow my action bone to switch between the two head positions as I been stuck on this for a little while.
Re: Head turn with image based character Rig?
First create a Switch Layer containing the 2 images
You can then add the Control Bone to the Switch Layer group (switch layers are also Bone Layers), or a Bone Group than contains the Switch Layer
Reduce the Control Bone strength to 0
Select the Control Bone and Create a new Action (Smart Bone Action)
In the Action - position the Control Bone at each control angle, and select the desired Switch sub-layer at those control positions
