How to stop automatic disappearing of render

I've been using Moho (Anime Studio) on and off for years... now more than usual. This quirk is annoying enough when you are doing something simple and just need a few instances of rendering a preview. Now it is an absolute workflow roadblock as I need to check an image or frame multiple times to see the big image when zoomed in to work on details. At a minimum, this occurs over 90% of the time - when I do Command+R to render the image, it shows me the rendered image, but before I can truly focus on the render, the window disappears.

It's really just automatically going behind the main Moho workspace window after anywhere from 1-10 seconds. Very rarely it doesn't disappear, but I can nearly guarantee that its very function to allow me to see what the image or frame actually looks like when rendered, will have to be chased as the window just pops off the screen (behind the main Moho window).

I've never been able to find anything on this, and I can't find any kind of preference that even seems to hint at some automatic setting to bring the main Moho window to front.

I've even tried making sure my hand is nowhere near either the keyboard or Magic Trackpad, just in case there is some auto-touch feature enabled in Moho to allow a window to be brought to the front simply by making any contact with the trackpad while the cursor is anywhere near one window or another. The rendered preview still disappears to the background, even after a handful of seconds with NO activity from any possible means of user input.

I used to go hunt the rendered preview window down, then delete once I saw what I needed to see. This happens so regularly that I now know it is faster to simply redo the Command+R, as most often, the second one will stay to the front longer. Then at a break, go close all the stupid "hidden" renders that disappeared behind the main Moho window.

I've never heard of that happening. It sounds like you might have a macro or something running that keeps pulling focus to the main window.
If nothing else, I'd suggest disabling auto-save and seeing if it still happens.

Huge thanks! It sure seems like that is it. Once I turned off "Auto save for crash recovery" under the Documents tab in prefs, it seems to have fixed the problem. I'm now realizing - I think when it would not actually disappear was moments when I had instinctively hit Command+S before rendering preview.

The odd thing is though, that I am finally beginning to be trained to not hit save all the time since I have been doing more final cut work lately. Easy enough though to just think old school whenever working in Moho, and just reflexively save after every little bit of work that I'm good with.

I'm not seeing that, in 12.5 or 13.5, but I'm glad that helps.
