Vetruvian Bones with smart mesh
Hey - maybe this is something that's been handled before - but I can't seem to make vitruvian bones with the smart mesh. If I bind the layer to the bone - it messes with my point binding of the mesh. can't figure out how to assign the art element to the vitruvian bone group without binding the layer.

Re: Vetruvian Bones with smart mesh
Bone>Use Selected Bones For Flexi-Binding will bind your mesh to the vitruvian bones and allow point binding.

Re: Vetruvian Bones with smart mesh
Just a little more info about binding...
For Vitruvian Bones, you want to use either Use Flexi-Binding For Selected Bones or the Bind Layer tool. The first option should be obvious because the artwork contained with the Vitruvian Bones should get deformed only by its specific Vitruvian Bones. The second option is for when you just want to rigidly bind selected layers to one specific bone and not include any other bones in the rig.
I like to think of Bind Point as a secondary binding method because it's applied using a tool instead of through a menu command and, as Wes notes, it can be applied on top of primary binding method applied from the menu command.
New users should be aware that when you use Bind Layer with a group layer, this means you can't use a different binding method for any of the sub-layers of that group. So, if you need to use different binding for individual layers inside the group, do not Layer Bind the group; instead, you need to bind the contained layers individually.
Finally, if you're using Use Flexi-Binding For Selected Bones, you can apply this command to multiple selected layers all at once, you do not need to apply this command to each layer individually. Knowing this can be a big time saver!
Hope this helps.

Re: Vetruvian Bones with smart mesh
I guess After Effects behaves more like what you're describing. It tries to remember the last folder for each type of import/export used. It's not always reliable but it's a little smarter than what we have now.
I would still prefer having the ability define paths that persist for a given project file until I decide to change them, but I agree the above system is still better than how it is now. If this is easier to add to Moho and we can get it sooner, I'd be for that.

I agree. Something like the way you apply the smart warp to a layer would be very hand in this regard.
