Hello Moho gurus,
I create company presentations depicting christmas decoration proposals for shopping centres. If you imagine a photograph of a shopping mall corridor dissappearing off in to the z-plane (a la doom 3d), I draw the decorations on the ceilings and walls at intervals.
These presentations have always been static 2d pictures but I see potential in Moho to attempt an animated pseudo 3d walthrough effect. I imagine it would take this sort of form:
A rectangle layer is scaled and rotated to form a sylised floor for the mall. Similarly two walls and a ceiling are added. This gives me a simplifed setting for my illustrations that I can pan up and down using the camera tracking tool constrained to the z plane. I can add the odd shop name to identify the corridor.
I was thinking it would be good to import the decorations as avi movies. I am hoping this would let me export an animated loop of the dec with the lights twinkling, possibly from an animated gif or something- i draw in fireworks and photoshop. Then I am hoping that by postioning the layers of these imported movies and employing depth of field, I can create an attractive 3d walk through effect by simply using flat planes.
Does anybody forsee any problems with the above approach? If anybody can offer an advice or has attempted anything similar then I would love to hear from you. I will report back with my own findings soon as I have made significant progress.
Thanks for reading,
Mike
