Man, I made this image in illustrator, got it to exactly where I wanted it to look, saved as Ai8, brought it into Moho and the color was obliterated. The strokes were their own shapes. Nothing looked good.
I am a severe noob to moho , is there a universally approved video on the process?

Re: illustrator to Moho
This pops up since 2008, and the best answer is: build the graphic in Moho, directly, because then it's much better suited for animation. If it's a prop element which doesn't move or bend it's recommended to render it as image.
Moho and AI use different concepts for describing vectors, so there's always something lost in translation: gradients, certain strokes, corners, and so on.

Re: illustrator to Moho
You should use SVG rather than AI8.
When exporting as SVG from Adobe Illustrator, be sure to use Save As, not Export, and also make sure you select Tiny as the Type. This should bring the art into Moho looking more or less as it does in Illustrator. (Minus any Illustrator-specific features of course.)
You might also want to look into SimplSam's Import SVG script here:

Hope this helps.

Re: illustrator to Moho
And in support of SlowTiger's response, yes, if you want it to look exactly as it does in Illustrator, it may be best to export a high-resolution image and use mesh warping in Moho. This approach guarantees preserving special shading or fx you may have applied in Ai.
For vector art that will be deformed with bones, it's better to build it directly inside Moho so you can optimize the point count and placement for predictable and appealing deformations.
