Did anyone here use to encounter the problem after video rendering?

Post by Panha »

Hi everyone,
I wonder if anyone here used to encounter the problem after rendering from Moho to MP4 file, but the video would show "Lost image" like in the image below.
Image
I am trying to look for the problem, I don't know if it is because of the bug of Moho (14.1 and 14.2 is the same) or it is because of my PC is too old. Another thing that I suspect is that, maybe I save the file as PSD from Affinity Photo which I use as my main software to edit the PSD, I don't have Photoshop. However, this is just what I suspect that could be a problem, and I want to know if anyone here has the same experiencing on this too.
I tried gather media and rendered the gathered media on my PC. It sometimes work correctly, but most of the time not. I also tried to gather media, copied to my brother's PC, it works correctly on my brother's PC.
If you have any experience on this please share with me. I want to know what happens. If it is because of my PC, I many need to buy a new one, or if it is because of the software I use for PSD saving, I also may need to consider changing the software too.
My OS is Window 11.
Thank you very much.

You're likely running out of RAM to handle the images.
If I remember correctly, you might try rendering shorter segments.
Even if you import them back into Moho to render the final project (although a dedicated video editor would be best).

oh! It can be something that remind me about what happened. As I remember, I used to open Affinityor Krita while opening Moho, then some Moho projectd asked me to relocate the file manually until I close Affinity photo/Krita. I noticed that so later on I never open any heavy programs while working with Moho, especially, while rendering. But the problem still exists. The average duration of my Moho files is usually less than 1 minutes or a little more than 1 minutes. For the project files which are more than 1:30 mins (usually not more than 2 minutes), I would gather media and render in my brother's machine because I also think that maybe it happens because my PC can't handle longer and heavier project files. However, the problem becomes worse from time to time. Now even projects which are shorter than one minutes, the problem sometimes happened too. 😂😁
Thank you for your help, I'll check with my ram and will try your solution. I am thinking that I may also have to try to simplify my project folders too (to make the path easier for Moho to read ). Whatever that I suspect makes the problem happen, I may try the solution. 😁❤️

If RAM is the problem, you could try expanding the page file, the allocated virtual RAM on your drive, and see how it goes.

I was creating a simple short animation in, Moho 14.2 and I experienced similar results in my exports.

I had imported PNG images in my project and everything ran and looked fine while working in Moho, but the imported PNG’s weren’t showing up in the exported MP4 and wouldn’t show up in Image Sequence PNG files either. If I ran “Preview…” from file settings in Moho, the images would be there in the preview, but not if I selected “Export Animation…” from the file tab.

What did work though was selecting “Moho Exporter…” from the file tab and exporting it that way. My imported PNG images rendered in the final MP4 file and rendered in Image Sequence PNG files as well. I can't explain why it worked that way and not the other.

Hope that helps.

Thank you, I also used Moho Exporter, however, the problems still exists. ❤️

If all else fails, exporting as an image sequence might work better.
I think the video compression has to hold a lot in memory before writing to the file.

Thank you. I'll tried it for my next project. ❤️
