Custom Content Folder is empty

Post by zamboknee »

Aside from the Tutorials, there's basically nothing in my custom content folder.
How do I download this content?

By default, Moho doesn't put much in a new Custom Content Folder. The Custom Content Folder is mainly for you to customize in the way you like to work. Adding custom brushes, swatches, scripts, templates, etc, is pretty easy. I have tons of stuff in my Content folder, but it's stuff I've built up over the years.

If you need examples of certain content file types (like Scatter Brushes,) to use as a guide for making your own, copy the data from the Program folder. I've made many variations of the stock Moho content this way. Here's an important tip: Always copy the data from the Programs folder, and never remove data from there. You can store the copy of the file you want to modify in the Custom Content Folder.

Also, never install content in the Programs folder. You should install custom content only in the Custom Content Folder. This ensures you will have the data for future versions of Moho, or if you need to perform an emergency re-installation. Altering the files in the Program folder risks breaking Moho.

If you want to add pre-made Moho content, you'll probably have to purchase it. I think some third-party content is available on the Lost Marble website. I don't think it's free, though.

Thanks. Where can I get some (or at least a couple) pre-made mouths?
