Custom brush is not applying to Rigged Characters

Post by jawad »

Hello, I am Using a custom brush stoke for all my characters.and have been animating using the same device. Recently i switched to a newer device but when i opened the files all the custom strokes were gone as the custom brush was not loaded into moho. But even after multiple times of loading the brushes into moho.it doesnt seem to update the strokes .

You can see one image is from my older device, the one with the tiger character is from a newer device.both devices have the same custom brush loaded in the brush panel but the newer version is not updating it in the rigged files.
Now i have to manually change all the strokes and apply the custom brush but is there any other way to make my life easier.

Perhaps you could try with Styles?
I believe you'd still have to go manually through the character/s but applying Styles to shapes is a tad bit less tedious than manually changing strokes, especially if you use Shapes Window

I can't really say I know how is this, what you described, even possible but hope Shapes Window will bring some ease.

I guess i have to put in the effort no matter what.really should have thought this through earlier.I used styles and you are right that i have to manually assign the style to each shape first, but was really hoping there was an easy way.

It's hard to know what is going on with the amount of information on the screenshots, but I'll try to guess.
- Are you sure the brush is not being applied? Could you try selecting the brush and modifying the values? Maybe the brush is there, but the spacing is too low.
- Are the brushes appearing when you render? Maybe the preview is not working correctly here?
- Are the brushes active in the Quick settings of the layer?
- Are the brushes correctly installed in the custom folder?

Maybe not one of these options will help you. In that case, is there any chance for you to share the .moho file and brush?

This may sound dumb, but have you tried to select your shape with the Select Shape Tool (Q), if you select the shape and the brush doesn't appear in the Style Editor, just select the brush again, and this should solve the problem, it is possible that the file got corrupted or that you overwrote the file by accident, Hell knows that it happened to me in the past, I hope this helps!
