Anyone else feeling a bit down and overwhelmed with the raise of Ai and just everything?
I have had a lot of setbacks (years of setbacks) while I was trying to gain control of a rising sub-niche. As I near the end of my pitch concept trailer and making a site I can't help but feel overwhelmed by the next step of forming a local group. (I am not against a remote group and planned to pitch that later.)
I have hoped to convince a few friends to join me but they seem rather uninterested so I have considered backtracking and creating new concept trailer focusing on just one. The idea had to be changed because it didn't originally fit the niche, I feel my drawings are too simple to appeal to them, I only plan to animate one or two scenes, and since I haven't driven into crazy talk (Cartoon Animator) lip sync is going have to be Ai. Overall the main issues I have been getting is animation is either not their thing, they feel Ai can do everything, or they our focusing on 3-d. I am not against using Ai on some things just not all.
I was also heartbroken to find out that my beloved form of website called a Boonex Dolphin is obsolete now, so I am having to over come another new hurtle and finding that websites have been simplified like apps and computers. Giving creators less and less control. Ai or Big Corporations could probably quickly take over my little niche.
I don't mean to completely doubt in my own idea before I pitch it (especially when I planned to pitch it in this group too for remote collaboration) but at this point I am freezing up. Should I detour and focus on trying to appeal to one? Or should I skip? ... Youth nowadays! lol XD! I never thought I would say that... I am getting old. If you're a youth you opinion is welcome to.

Guess I am the only one? ... Maybe that in itself is a sign of encouragement.

I'm using more and more AI everyday in my animation. I'm actually thank full that I have access to software that helps me produce the show. Things that would otherwise slow me down, like drawing a simple prop to an explosion. I do get frustrated at the lack of control we have over perspective and camera angle but I guess that's just a matter of time.

Is there any form of ai that you find easier than another. Some don't give you commercial rights. I need the commercial rights. Currently using https://pixai.art . It has a hard time following one style or regenerating a similar character. My new concept trailer that I am making for that one friend is longer than I wanted it to be so I must do more (filler scenes) than I wanted. It is a 2-d anime style. Looking at free ai sources only, since its just a concept trailer.
I use ai previously in two scenes of my old concept trailer. But it was very light usage. I used it to help me make a cat with better proportions and then I retraced everything in a simpler style to animate. And then I used it to create a burning close up of the sun and I combined multiple ai renders with my own animation.
This time is different because I am using it more... I should explain the guy I want to work with uses it a lot for fun but hasn't created anything official out of it. It's hard to use it for anything that isn't retraced frame by frame and changed to match the previous style. When Ai works it does create more detailed scenes than I could ever do. But I don't think using ai for a big project is working.

I use the paid version of chatgpt and all the rights come with it. I recently started testing a few others that offer animated rights but the animations always have some flaw in them that prevent me from using, Currently the workflow is generate a building or some other assett, take out the background using free png maker, bone the assett up into a rig (If needed) and then animate. It's taken the whole process down massively not having to do backgrounds etc. There;s a long way to go with it though.

Thanks so much for the help. I played around a bit with chatgpt and it seems helpful.

Thanks so much for the help. I played around a bit with chatgpt and it seems helpful. It seems a bit more constant then pixai art.
