As a Panther (10.3.9) user I wasn't too happy with the 10.4 requirement of the new 5.4 release of Moho. I guess the Universal Binary has something to do with it.
I think I'll keep using Moho 5.3, because I really want to upgrade to Leopard (10.5) when it is released (probably January 2007) and skip Tiger.
Moho 5.4 for Mac requires Tiger (10.4) now

Yeah,
I was dissapointed but... I was completely expecting it so no surprise. It makes perfect sense.
LM has to have been working on this update for a while now. It would make sense to get Moho on board with Tiger as soon as possible considering the possible "big changes" in the future. Any updates with the "old code" would be wasted effort.
I was dissapointed I couldn't use it immediately... but actually... what this does for me is add incentive. I usually don't update system software until I absolutely have to... now with Moho added to my list of "Tiger Only" apps... I am getting to that tipping point... pretty soon I won't have any choice.
The same process happened for me with OSX... I held on to 9.2 till the bitter end... kicking and screaming the whole way. (one machine still runs it... I just can't let go.)
The upshot of this is of course... much more stability when I do finally take the plunge.
p.s. Apple should reward companies that force us to buy their new OS's. Like pushers for a drug dealer. They should get a cut of the action.
