obtaining image textures into moho

Post by maggie »

I am trying to get image texture into a moho project. I have got paint shop pro. I save the image in png format but when it appears in moho, it apparently has gained an opaque background on the layer. Is this because I'm not using photoshop (because I haven't got it)- or am I doing something wrong. I am not sure where to save to, either. Have tried so many variations to do this , have got in a muddle now. I am sort of using the tutorial 4.4 but this only has photoshop file available for the tutorial 4.4 , hence trying to use paintshop pro. Any help would be appreciated. Maggie

I think this was a problem with PSP. Try this create an image in PSP with a transparent background (there is a checkbox when you create the image), just draw a circle or something with the brush tool, go to File|Export|PNG Optimizer in the Color tab select 16.7 million colors in the Transparency tab select 'Alpha Channel Transparency' and 'Existing Image or Layer Transparency' click Ok and then open the image in Moho.

See if that works.

image texture in moho

Thanks very much. I tried it- and it works! Before you replied, I'd discovered the png optimiser in psp and did manage to get a texture image from it into moho, but in such an involved and roundabout way- forgot how I did it. Your way was nice and simple.
