Hi,
I'm using the demo version of Moho and I have a few problems with exporting the animation to Flash. First, items outside the "camera" show up in the Flash animation. Second, line thickness on certain items fluctuate when zooming. Are these known issues? Any work-arounds?
I take it that the black and white animation is because I'm using the demo version, right?
Also, on a related note, are there any free Flash movie editors? Since Moho doesn't support multiple scenes, I need something that can assemble multiple Flash scenes. About the only features I need are the ability to add an additional soundtrack (with anchoring so it doesn't go out of synch) and a few transitions... heck, I could probably live without the transitions. If no such thing exists for free, what economical alternatives are out there? Products with demo versions are much appreciated.
Thanks

To hide something, you can make a highest level layer with a hiding frame, big enough to hide everything (In Moho, it is not possible to create "inverted" fill shapes).
A more difficult way:
1. Create a new group layer,
2. Create a second group layer inside of the first one,
2. Put all layers of the scene into the second layer,
3. Set the first group layer's masking to "Hide all"
4. Create a new vector layer in this (first) group layer,
5. In the new vector layer, create a filled rectangle, matching to the scene frame,
6. Set the vector layer's masking to "Add to mask".
The lines fluctuation is maybe because Moho is using cubic Bezier curves, but Flash's curves are different (quadratic Bezier). The conversion is not easy and it replaces/adds points on the curves. In the ming library (it is a third party software, used by Moho to create SWF files) it is possible to set the precision of the conversion, but sorry, I don't know how to reach this feature from Moho. Higher precision means more points on the curves, bigger files and perhaps slower playback of the SWF file.

Re: Moho/Flash Questions
what are you using to view your animations? if you're using internet explorer, or any internet program for that matter, you will see all the camera's working area aswell as everything outside of of it. So you'll need a swf viewer. I think Adobe/Macromedia provide one, but there's plenty of free ones on the internet. Have a ganger on google.xmp333 wrote:Hi,

I had the same problem with the line thickness once. I think it has something to do with the 'scale compensation' in the Layer Properties. Try unticking it and see what happens (or try ticking it, if it isn't already).
Adobe/Macromedia offer a free, 30 day trail on their Flash program. There's also Koolmoves and Swish, which are cheaper alternatives to Adobe's Flash. I'm not aware of any free ones, but most of offer a non-crippled free trail.xmp333 wrote: Also, on a related note, are there any free Flash movie editors?
