Not usre if anyone here is a member or knows of this organization but figured I'd mention it. They do a lot of events at our school and student membership is $30. Among other things they have archives or preserved orginal storyboard, scripts and art from many of the greats. They sponsor other things and occasionally drag in notables from past and present animation.
You can check out some of the activites of the local chapter - I'm not sure how loosely or tightly affiliated these different orgs are with the original from france so if you have a local chapter be sure to check it out before shelling out any money.
