SVG Import

Post by idragosani »

Being able to import SVG (scalable vector graphics) would be very nice... many vector graphics tools use this format and it is becoming more and more standardized... and would be useful for those who don't have Adobe Illustrator but have vector graphics they want to use in Anime Studio.

Yes, me too, would be fantastic utilize inkscape, or another software that could utilize SVG, like the AI. Now, I know that the version for Linux of Inkscape, you could export .AI also, but I have not tested him.

Well, we desperately need better Adobe Illustrator import, but I think I could get behind SVG import/export instead, if it gave good results.

I think before we want better AI import and SVG import, we want the cubic Bézier curves of AS to be implemented differently, so representing true cubic Bézier curves becomes much easier. See this thread by Fazek.
