selecting bones

Is there another way to select a bone in a bone layer besides clicking on the bone with the mouse. Sometimes the bones are so close together that it is difficult to click on the right bone (eg when the right bone is behind another bone). In such cases I have to magnify the workspace in order to be able to click on the right bone, is there perhaps an easier method?

name your bones as you go...

then select by name

very handy for keeping your rig organized
