yet another music video attempt

Post by ulrik »

I've been working further learning the capacities of Anime Studio, this time I worked a lot with boning a tree to see if I could get alive, and also a lot with shadows, for every moving character I made a vector layer with the shadow shape and I had to animate it also following the characters moves, I know there is a script called "perspective shadow" but I don't understand in what positions it puts the shadow, I tried it and sometime it works great but sometime it doesn't follow the character as I would. How do you make your shadows, are you using masking or...I really would like to know.
Anyway here's the link:

please tell me what you think, critics are very welcome!

Nice job.Liked the "style", color scheme, the flute coming out of the house and the way you've connected the music with the visual imagery in these last 2 videos. Was'nt really sure what the "pink blob" on the right side of the bench was supposed to be. Thought the tree was quite effective.....a nice contrast to the other characters.

Pretty cool.

Only parts I really liked were THE TREE (loved how it moved with the secondary action) and the MUSIC.

Crazy 7 3/4 beat or something.

Thank you all for critics!
Yes the "pink blob" is really awful, it's supposed to be the resting pillow for the banjo, I have to redo it, I've been so occupied with all other things happening in the ani, getting the shadows to move allright, the walking of the tree etc. so I have completely forgotten that stupid pillow, until my wife asked the same question...lol
Mikdog, the beat is 15/8 in the beginning and then it's straight 4/4, yes I agree, the tree is making the thing happen I think.

I had a question also 'bout how you do the shadows, I have not yet found the ultimate way to do this and I'm really curious how you all do them, maybe I should ask it at the "tips and tricks" forum?

The "pink blob" has now become the "white pillow", the link has been updated.

A new character test (I will try to get it to speak as well) with some music.

Very nice, very happy videos. I really enjoyed them. Nice choice of music and colors. Actually makes me want to find a piece of music and try something fun like this.

I liked it

I really enjoyed it, however you should play with camera movements and close-ups so it's not so tedious to always look at the same spot...

I love the three...

Thank you IsraelRN!
Yes you're right, I have to learn more about camera movements,...have to experiment with it I think, I'm not good at it but I'll try.
Thank you for watching! :D

I saw your fisrt video posted when visited your homepage some time ago. I can only repeat that it is splendid. I must say that colors, music, and animation is very nice. And the end of the video is amazing. The movement of the tree is wonderful. I've enjoyed it more than first time. Congratulations ulrik.

The second short is funny! Need to see more!!
