This might be in the help section of anime studio, since its so simple, but suprisingly I couldnt find it! 0_0
I want to make one layer go on top of the other, but whilst still being able to see the bottom layer--like multiply! I've put the layer blendfing mode on multiply, but it doesnt seem to be working! Am I doing something wrong? Please help! ^^
i don't understand the problem...
but to see how is the layer blending working, you must render (control+r).
remeber you always just see a preview of your animation. you can't see the effects, the blur, the blending mode, etc but rendering.
thanks! Maybey thats the problem, Ill try it out and see...
well, Im pressing control r and nothings happening! 0_0 I also heard you can go to 'file, render' to do the same thing, but I dont have that on here either! ;_;
Thanks for your help anyway, though Does any body else know whats wrong?
oh really? Maybey thats it! I do only have a 30 day demo, I'm getting the real thing asa present soon from someone, but I wanted to know what it was like before I got it...maybey thats the problem with the layer too...
but with the demo version, i think, you still can export the animation...
you could see how it's looking exporting it to video (control + e) instead rendering. is not better, but it's something.
No, nothing wrong, and not a demo version. You simply have the plain version of Anime Studio, which lacks the render ability, because according to the Comparison charts there is no "Export Image Format" in Anime Studio. The render function of the Pro version allows you to save images, so that is probably the reason it is disabled in the plain version of Anime Studio.
Well, I think that Pro version is just a marketing term to explain the price difference. In reality, you can create animation with the non-pro version as well. It is more of an entry level version than a non-pro version. I assume you can upgrade to the pro version for a discount if you need more control in your animation.
There should be a separate subforum for questions about Anime Studio (the non-pro version), which would be targeted mostly to novice animators (or animators on a tight budget). The limited tool set has the advantage that it is less intimidating and easier to master, and you could start animating with the program sooner. A good name for the subforum could be "Beginners" or similar, and subtitled "Q&A for new users of Anime Studio".
AS is just a program. It's the animation you create with it that should really matter.
or maybe down of your avatar should say if you have anime studio or anime studio pro.
so we could know what exactly to answer (for example: you must upgrade to pro soon!).
