Workspace saving

Post by IsraelRN »

This is a must have:

A way to save different workspace layouts, so we can easily have a 'drawing layout' and a 'animating layout', a 'playback layout' and such, without having to manually change how the windows are shown every time we need.

I'd be happy if it just remember the one workspace. Everytime I start it up, my windows are slightly out of place.

@artfx: Perhaps a third-party sticky windows application can offer a workaround for this.

@IsraelRN: I think that would be confusing, because most AS users switch constantly between those modes. I'd rather have collapsible windows, you can push aside.

Yes, but it's always better to have this inside the app, without having to launch external apps.

I don't see why it would be confusing, at the end, this should be user defined and easy to switch from one to another. Collapsible windows is also a must have, but maybe it's harder to implement than workspaces.
