Well i have recently completed a little film, as apart of my course. It was done in one-shot so you can imagine how much of a nightmare it was. Otherwise it was a fun project and i learnt alot about camera's and shooting etc etc. See if you can spot the stuff that changes/moves etc. It was inspired by some of the camera shots in the movie, Children of Men, which is an awesome movie and some great camera work.
You can stream it here and download it here.
What'd'ya think?
(volume is quiet so you'll need to crank it a bit)

Hi I enjoyed some of the camera work and the spooky moments. Not sure if the point was the camera work, lighting etc. The story itself felt incomplete as I kept expecting a stronger climax -guy with a knife, puddle of blood or something. Did you have somebody on a dolly filming the guy walking down the hall? Must have been tough as he was walking pretty fast and seemed a narrow hall.

...k. I'm glad you have an honest opinion... but do remember i had to make this within four weeks. And thats four weeks of thinking of something, getting hold of equipment, risk assessments, filming it (have you tried doing one-shot filming yet? its a bitch), sound, finding time, finding actors... stuff. So it wasn't going to be Elephant or Timecode.jahnocli wrote:I got about a third of the way through and got bored. Once the camera trucks back out of the TV picture, it's impossible to see what the image is about, so I started to lose interest at that point.
Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear...

I'm studying Digital Design, which is stuff like motion art, animation, interactive media, static media (page layout, posters etc) and.... digital stuff. It's a real fun course, at the moment, i should be doing more video stuff next semester hopefully.Hi I enjoyed some of the camera work and the spooky moments. We didn't have a dolly for the walking bit, i just had to walk at the same pace or a bit quicker. It was funny, in one of the takes, one of my flat mates left his internet cable hanging out of the door and as i walked backwards i fully tripped over... luckily the camera was safe and didn't get a bump.
