5 men walking

Post by rplate »

Well I couldn't resist pushing the envelope.
I put the walkaway figure in my scene as well as a figure walking and stoppinging in the hallway.
That make 5 guys walking in different parts of the scene.
What do you think, is Anime Studio great or not?
It's all point animation! Once the figures were made I was home free to interchange the figures, color, size or if I want I can change heads.
Maybe even put a bone head on them. :P If I ever get smart enough.
Maybe I can buy one from Vern. He'll probably need the money after he gets back from the conference. :P
Check it out:

Did you notice how I framed it in black so you only see the studio screen?
That allows my characters to walk off screen. Just like the movie version.
Maybe someone has a way to fix that for flash movies. Let me know if you do.

There's a lot going on and flash doesn't do justice to it all. But it loads quickly and is very clear.
Here's the Movie version... This lets you check frame by frame
and if you have quicktime Pro you can download it if you like.

That was really nice! A lot of work?

Still I do wonder - AS is a 2D program trying to make it to 3D is it really the way to go? There are already so many 3D programs! Lights and shadows in 2D I do not think it will be possible.

I think it is better to improve the GUI of AS to make it easier to animate in 2D. A better scrolling of the timeline as in Premier. Actions being being stored in a library. The possibility to have several soundfiles along the timeline. Make it possible to soften, taking away a lot of control points for vector curves. Machina in 2D is perhaps possible. And shortcuts everyone easy can choose themselves.

But for sure it was nice your work.
