Aligning layers in 3d space

Post by appelgurk »

I had to figure out a method of aligning layers in 3d space, so that they appeared on the exact same z value.

Opening the .moho-file in a text-editor and manually copy and paste the desired value worked just fine.

The direct numerical input from the traslation layer tool does not work for you????

Well, in a text editor you can work a lot faster than using Anime Studio. So if you have a lot of alignment to do, this could be a faster method.

I'm thinking of describing the Anime Studio file format for so long, that I'm tempted to finally doing it. The problem is that I then need to write a specialized editor to modify the files outside the Anime Studio program for this to be of any use. Luckily, it is a flat format, instead of a XML format (IMHO a crappy way to serialize your document objects). So, if you know your way around in the Moho file format, it is sometime faster to change your animation in a text editor than in the program itself.

If that isn't a hint for a new feature in Anime Studio, I don't know what is.

Heck, I'll post it right away.

Holy crap!

Funny I haven't seen that before. Still, I agree with Rasheed that editing the file in a text editor is a good option . I also tend to use it a lot when replacing source images.

I'm looking foreward to see that AS file format description.
