I did a search for "2D animation software" on Google and Anime Studio didn't show in the results until the 3rd page. Moho (not Anime Studio) showed up on the 2nd page of MSN.com but I couldn't find anything for Anime Studio. "Lost Marble" came up at the BOTTOM of page 2 on Webcrawler.com. Suprisingly "Lost Marble" came up first on Ask.com. I couldn't find a result on Yahoo.com.
It seems since Google is the largest search engine and probably the most used that its a problem that Anime Studio doesn't come up til the 3rd page. Usually if I found a few results on the first page I wouldn't even bother looking that far into the search results to find anything else. One way a company can improve a product faster is more users, which in turn will give them more feedback on their product and more money to make more improvements. With a 3rd page result on Google its hard for anyone to even find Anime Studio/Moho, much less actually use it.
Of course if I did a search for "Anime Studio" it came up first, but thats not what most people are going to be searching for when they are looking for a 2D animation software package to do their next great creation. As others have said i think the decision to name it Anime Studio is a mistake as well since it really limits the audience that will even try the program. AS/Moho is capable of so much more than just anime and some will think of the Anime branding as a bad thing since there is more bad anime out there than good anime.
Just thought I'd throw out my findings for anyone that cared.
Did a search to see how easy it is to find Anime Studio...
