Switch Layers

Post by Nephilim »

Like for head turns, how do I tell the switch layer when to switch between the
vectors in it? This is used for lip syncing but I don't want to have to use papagayo to get this to work.

1) Select the switch layer and press the switch layer button tool (in the layer tool area (a t the right of "Flip Vertically" one. Then you can go to the main windows and select the active shild that you want to use.

or

2) Right click the switch layer and select the desired layer to be visible.

Don't forget to go to Switch tab into the layer options menu and check the "interpolate su-layers" if you want linear interpolation between the points (they should be exactly the same points in every sub - layer but in different positions).

Also read the built in manual (Help menu) and go to the section Using Anime Studio -> Layer types -> Switch, and to Tool Groups -> Layer tools -> Switch layer tool for more information.

Don't forget to first change (in the timeline) to the frame where you want the switch layer change to take place.

Then, what Genete said.
