Milk scanner

Amazing. Such a simple idea! And it is the reverse of a very old idea -- Michaelangelo used to make a small maquette model of his sculpture, place it in a bowl of water, and gradually siphon out the water, noting the changing contour of the waterline to help him sculpt out the form...
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
If you hooked that up to some kind of automated milk dispenser you wouldn't have to sit there with the darn spoon!
Actually the "drip" technique would work. Have a tiny hole in the bottom of the milk container that drips out a slow steady rate. Or some kind of rotating arm that blocks the hole at regular intervals.
Very cool... however if wouldn't capture all sides and undercut spots well.
Good grief what am I saying! It's a lego milk scanner for goodness sakes!
