Problem with Army camo pattern

Post by Phatthumb »

Okay, I'm working on a toon with Soldiers in it, but I'm having trouble with the ACU pattern. I can make the pattern with the drawing tools, but it takes to long and it takes forever to render. Remeber in the old toons when Bugs Bunny would pull out a can of "Plad" paint and paint with that. That's what I need. I need an ACU brush or something. PLEASE HELP![/img]

You could do it as a texture - produce a bitmap tile. This will lead to some problems in movement, when the texture will move independently from the hape at some moments.

Or you could do it as an image layer and make it visible in the shape via masking. The image can be bound to some bigger bone, this will move the pattern slowly while the shapes move faster.

For more detail on slowtiger's first option, see Tutorial 4.4
