I keep forgetting how to set the default switch layer that my Mouth switch layers should be using.
Can you remind me? Numerous searches here turn up no answer.
The problem: I use a Switch layer for mouth shapes, and then let Moho animated the mouths via a sound file. Between each word, the mouth shows the FV pose, not the closed mouth pose.

According to Tutorial 5.1, the closed mouth should be the lower-most position in the sub-layers, while the upper-most should be the widest open.
Audio-based mouths don't have to use the phoneme-based mouths - as far as I know the mouth is chosen from the list based on volume, not type of sound.
I usually use Papagayo, which does use the phoneme-based mouths, and it uses a switch layer called rest (all lower-case) - might be worth trying for audio as well.
Regards, Myles.

Thank you, myles. I thought the last [the lowest] layer in a Switch set should be the "rest", or default, layer, but it took a few tries to get Moho to agree. I'm only using Moho so I can get that bone wiggle script working on their heads.
I'd prefer to use Papagayo, but I'm going to try a few 1st passes the simpler way, and decide whether I can save time that way.

The audio lip synch is based on the layer order. The name doesn't matter only the position in the switch layer order. Wide to closed based on the volume of the sound.
With Papagayo lip sync the order doesn't matter only the layer name. So the "rest" layer could be anywhere.
I don't know if there is any confusion with this. It is hard to tell from the posts.
