Improving Image Quality

Post by lacorp »

I notice that when I import an image and put it in a skeleton layer it seems to lose some quality. Is their any way to improve the quality?

Make the original image bigger in resolution before import to AS.

Is the quality "poor" while working AS or is the rendered output "poor"?

There is an option for image smoothing that increases quality but also increases render times.

There is also a display option for "smooth images" so they appear better in the preview.

If you are creating images at 72 dpi for use in AS make sure they are as big as they will be rendered from AS. If the image layer is scaled up or the camera zooms in you will get "fuzzy" or low quality images.

Actually, I managed to solve this problem. Thanks for your help though. I realized that the paint program I was using sometimes used partially transparent colors which AS did not look.
