i've done all my tutorials, and even contacted tech support... i've set up my character, and drawn it straight into anime studio pro... when i finally add the bones everything seems to be fine until i try to manipulate the bones... the wrong body parts go flying around the screen in a circle... also, my parent structure does not seem to be working... some parent bones do not move their child bones. some bones, when moved (the arm bones), also moves the base bone (the first bone i layed down)... has anyone dealt with this?... when i click the reparent bone button, the graph of my bone structure is also strange... there are some bones that point to the child bone, that in turn, point back to the parent bone... i definetely didn't set it up like this, as i was real careful about selecting the parent bones...
i am really frustrated... i've only had problem after problem with this program, starting with false claim of being able to import illustrator files... it took me days to figure out that it just doesn't work. it seems like there is so much potential, but i have seriously logged over 50 hours aand have not been able to animate anything..
please help
if there is a way to show people a sample of what is happening, please inform me...
thanks

Don't desperate.
That kind of things you explain in your post happen to every one who is new to a bone system and the parent concept.
Unfortunately there is no quick way to help you unless you ask for specific help and for a particular file (posting your anme file and telling us that this bone moves ugly , blah blah ..., or those points are moving when I don't want, blah blah...)
Maybe you should start with simple characters (stick man like or even only the skeleton) and then add more complexity when you are good with bones.

Hi K,
Genete is right (always is
) that the bone hierarchy system seems complex at first. AS is probably the easiest I have used but I had the advantage of having learned how to rig more complex 3D characters in other software first. It will 'click' with you soon so don't give in.
If you want to email me your character I will gladly take a look and try and get it working for you.

You can attach the file to an email and send it to me via my website listed at the bottom of my posts. You may have to email me first to get my email address as it's one of those forms to deter spam.
