Animate layer release from bones

I take it there is no way to switch off a layer binding from a bone mid-animation, right? Basically I've got an image whose layer is linked to a bone. In a certain point of the animation I want to release the image from that bone so I can move it independently of the bone. Haven't found anything eve...

Re: Sync or parent layers

AFAIK copying keyframes only works between layers of the same kind. If you put your image into a group/bone layer and move that, you should be able to copy these keyframes to another group/bone layer which holds the shadow vector layer. Yes, it would work with a group. This is a case of having done...

Really? Hmm... didn't work for me, will have to try again. Thanks

Sync or parent layers

Hello, just wondering if there is any way to sync or parent one layer to another so that the child layer inherits the position, etc and all keyframes of the parent layer. I thought I could copy/paste layer translation keyframes between layers but nothing happens when I try to paste them into the sec...

Re: Properly retime from 24 to 12 fps

I had pretty good success by changing the project to 12 fps then using Animation-> Rescale Keyframes... . The biggest problem was that audio wouldn't play, I had to reimport it all again and reset it to the new starts. Rescaling keyframes completely ignored the audio tracks. Thanks for the suggestio...

Ah, hadn't thought of that. Thanks. Will give it a try.

Properly retime from 24 to 12 fps

Hello, I was wondering what the proper way would be to retime a whole animation I've got in 24fps down to 12fps. I've got audio added in Moho so this is the first thing I noticed got desynced when I opened the Project Settings and changed from 24 to 12 fps. Obviously I need to fix this (probably man...

How to properly parent IK bones

Hello, I’ve got a very simple rig for a character and have created IK bones for the feet. Everything works fine but I can’t figure out the best way to parent those IK bones. I think I used to know this but completely forgot. What’s the best way to parent them? If I parent them to the root bone, then...

Re: Control Action cycle with smart bone?

I created the switch keys inside an action - no cycle. Now the smart bone position determines which switch key is shown. Additional hint: a sequence I found helpful for lipsync starts with the most open position - A - and goes over E, I to M (closed) in the middle of the action, then to O, U. Final...

Re: Control Action cycle with smart bone?

In one project I had a smart bone controlling the switch layer for the mouth shapes, easy to see where this bone had keys. Could you let me know how you did that? In my case I have a cycle that is inside an Action so I simply Insert the Action where I want it but I don't think that can be controlle...

Control Action cycle with smart bone?

Hello, I've got an Action that is not tied to any bones because it's a cycle of my character's mouth talking (cycling through images). I'd like to have a smart bone to add that cycle behaviour to the timeline, simply to make it easier to see where this cycle occurs, along with all the bone animation...

Batch change frame duration of imported image sequence

So, I know that if I import an image sequence and then change the layer to Switch, it creates a frame by frame animation with those images. That's great. What I'm wondering is if there is a way to change the duration of all those imported images easily. My problem is I do a lot of my roughs in Rough...
