From what I can see, it is actually roughly 3 megs larger - which is still odd. Moho = 8.5 megs AS = 11.7 megs The rest of it is all the included fluff. Does make you wonder why Moho put on the extra 3 megs of weight, though. Overall, I'd say nothng about this new deal benefits existing users. Certa...

Yes, for me too, ultimately the process went fine. Personally, I don't think the existing users gain much from the e-frontier thing, except perhaps higher costs to upgrade when that time comes... but what can you do? At least Moho is still around in one form or another. I have high hopes that this w...

As an owner of most of their other products, this is just about as I expected from e-frontier, people having tons of problems with the web site, etc. I didn't get anything emailed to me as a Moho owner, and don't really expect to. I'm sure it will be a long drawn out procedure with tech support... b...

I got the email to purchase Anime Studio today, but I still don't see how I get my copy as an owner of Moho. For what it is worth, I also own most of the other e-frontier products, but I've never been a very big fan of that company. For one thing, their web site is rather poor, not to mention hideou...

Director can't import a quicktime with alpha channel or a sequence of 24bit PNGs/TIFFs with builtin alphas? You'll lose whatever layering control you are talking about, but would still have alphas. Yes, it can do that. It isn't optimal, but it can do it. So can Flash, for that matter... but the pro...

Moho will output an alpha channel if you export to QuickTime, but FLV may not support alpha - I don't know about that. Exactly. Director can't use QuickTime's alpha. I might be able to get the background dropped out of an FLV, but a SWF I have a lot more control over. I can effect individual layers...

Re: Scene & keyframe overview??
You can only see the keys for the current layer in the timeline. There's nothing you can do to change that view right now. We've had several requests for a "deeper" view of the keyframes, so that may come around in a future update. Sounds great. I'll look forward to that. Any tips then fo...

You could always export to a raster-based format like QuickTime, and then convert it to Flash Video (FLV) format. True. But I lose my layering, and the use of alpha channel. Director can drop out the background of layered Flash... and maintain programmability of the Flash layers. Ideally, I'd like ...

One part of file size optimization is keeping your imported elements optimized before they are integrated into your Director project. On your hard drive file size may not matter, but what if you want to export your Director file for the web? I guess it all comes down to where the project will be us...

It would also make the swf files HUGE. Even using bones on vector layers and exporting to swf format makes for huge filesizes compared to doing a comparable animation directly in Flash (minus bones of course). Yep. No question. But in a lot of cases, that really doesn't matter at all. My Flash file...

Scene & keyframe overview??
I registered Moho a long time ago, bought the upgrade to 5... but am only now giving it a real workout. I'm noticing a few things that make production more difficult in Moho than is desirable, so maybe I'm just missing some techniques or features - How can I get a scene overview in the timeline? Bei...
