Sure - no masking needed for the globe itself! I used the masking only for the "night" shadow that moves over the face of the globe. I guess I could have done the shadow with point animation or some other way - but as seems to be the case with just about everything - there are more ways to skin the proverbial cat than there are cats ... thanks again for the steer! (Ah- oh -- that's steer as in direction as distinct from the bovine variety

For the moment I have lost my media room. We moved all my stuff out of the studio and are letting my nephew practice with his band.
