ASP 8- Flash Export

Post by bleuAura »

When I try and export the Tutorial 4.4 Final in the Users Manual as a flash animation I should get a headless horse with a texture pattern. However, I get the headless horse without the texture pattern. When I export the same file as a QuickTime Movie I get the headless horse with the texture pattern.

My question is WHY? I should get the texture pattern in the flash .swf file as well. Has anyone run into this? I like this feature and would like the texture pattern to show up in the flash file. If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be great.

Wow! That's nice to know. Thanks for the info.

So on to Plan B. This is how I resolved this issue. I exported it out from ASP8 as a quick time mov file and imported it into Adobe AftersEffects and from there I exported it out as a swf file and I was able to get the texture pattern to show.

that won't be a vector swf - what you're doing there is converting a quicktime mov to a flash flv for flash streaming... if you dont need it to be an actual flash swf (so you can add interaction and have it remain vector) then this is the best way to go as it gives you complete access to effects including those from afterFX (motion blur etc)

Actually I did export as a swf file not an flv file from AfterEffects. Your right it is no longer a vector file at this point. However, I can load it into another flash file on a different layer and with some actionscript I can do some basic things with with the file.
