Bounding box out of place

Post by kiddlepuff »

My layer bounding box fits my image perfectly in the "ZERO" frame. But when I move over past frame 1 the box offsets from the image completely. Its not even consistently off, its like its on a rubberband and moves at a different speed than the image.

The set origin doesn't seem to be having any effect.

Hm - any camera keyframes? Any values in the Z box?

No camera effects. But deleting all the bone transformations and starting from scratch fixed it. Not sure why that would cause the bounding box to become unaligned though.

Ah! I recognize that. Attachment of images to bones sometimes goes weird when I later change the point of origin, or exchange the image with one of different dimensions. Sometimes I still can see the image when I zoom out very far.

This is the reason why I try to normalize everything: have all assets (images) on start position (0, 0, 0) and unscaled, if possible, have everything placed and scaled correctly in frame #0 befor I attach anything to bones.

Figured that out after awhile. I think I'll stick to morph blends for the facial expressions and what not, seems to be a decent workaround.

The point of origin you just described was randomly helpful though. That was apparently why I was having issues with my object being offset
from the path I attached it too.
