Can Transparency be animated

With ASP Can Transparency be animated ( Png Layer )
I am facing a little problem, and I want to animate the transparency.
Is it possible?

This way At Frame 1 Transparency 0%
at Frame 25 Transparency= 50 %
and so on

You must check "Allow animated layer effects" in the proprieties of the layer you want to animate (and most of this changes are showed only in the rendered animation)
