Smart bones moving on there own

Post by micky48 »

Strange thing , when i try to use smart bones to correct movment , like arm/leg bend , as soon as i have made adjustment , i try to animate on timeline the arm/leg has no control ,moves all over the place ,soon as i delete smart bone action ,leg/arm moves ok ,do't know what i am doing wrong!
Thanks

Same happens to me. It's really annoying. I have done 3 smart bone dials so far that worked fine. And the forth is doing this strange thing. It won't be a problem if it actually animated what I wanted, but it doesn't even do the animation....

A Smart Bone can Rotate/Scale/Translate other bones. When creating the Smart bone is very important to not move another bone (unless you are sure you want to).
Probably you moved other bones by mistake.
Go inside your Smart bone actions and check if other bones have keyframes. Inside the action, Bones with keyframes will be showed in bold. Select all the ones shouldn't move and then erase their keyframes in the red channel(s) of the timeline.
