HOW WAS THIS RIGGED?

Post by LEOVATAR »

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how this character was rigged (PLEASE CHECK ATTACHED LINK).

I was privy to this rig a couple of years back and I'm still curious how they achieved the arms rigging. As you can see in the screenshots, at frame 0 the arms are displaced from the body. They are just rectangular-like shapes. But on frame 1, they form this muscular arm. I haven't come across this kind of rigging before, not even on Moho Animation YouTube Channel. Does anyone know how this was achieved? Please share. Thanks.

Previously, this was done by following the path, but now it is not relevant.
Then we tried to implement a deformer by increasing the layer that follows the curve by a factor of 4 so that an analog of the current curver layer function would work as a deformer

This is not relevant right now, use the curver layer.
But if you're wondering exactly how it was done
There's a timecode stream here
