Hi!
I noticed that there are some modern Moho books popping up on Amazon (Moho 14), for example "Moho Pro 14:The Animator’s Complete Workflow Guide" by a Kristoff Linden, I cannot find anything about the author and there are no reviews of these books, they are all short, 130-140 pages or so, pretty cheap, the amazon description feel's like a bullet list, has anyone here read or bought any of these books ? they feel a bit AI generated to me, I guess an AI generated book may not be bad by itself, but if they do not have the patience to actually write a book, I don't have the patience to read it.
I can find most things on internet and the Moho manuals are good so no need to actually buy a book, but if it is actually good useful information it might be fun to have, but only if it is a "real" book.
AI books ?

I say stay away, don't touch it with a 10 foot stick. Just the cover is a giveaway: any decent animation book would feature some art, not random stock photo people grinning at a laptop. Additionally Amazon's further recommendations feature more scam (get rich with crypto, get rich with AI).

Re: AI books ?
look at the publication date of the cited work -- 6 December 2025. And the snippet on Amazon (UK) I browsed didn't fill me with confidence that it was written by someone who knew enough about Moho and animation. E.g., unless someone here can tell me I've missed something, I don't think there are "Camera Layers" in Moho which, according to the book's index, are described on p45.RustAndMagic wrote: ↑Mon Dec 15, 2025 3:53 pm ... for example "Moho Pro 14:The Animator’s Complete Workflow Guide" by a Kristoff Linden, I cannot find anything about the author and there are no reviews ...
and, IMO, the asking price (UK £11.26) is not cheap

I'm looking at a couple of the other 'Moho 14' books. Some of them can't even be bothered to put a cartoon illustration on the cover.

Re: AI books ?
It's not just Moho. "How to" AI slop has invaded every subject matter, JavaScript, Python, fiction writing, etc. There are youtube videos on how to "get rich quick" creating and publishing this low-effort material. Buyer beware!
Re: AI books ?
That all said: are there any official Moho books out there? (Official meaning just a normal, decent how-to-book written by somebody in the know.)
We could provide a list of genuin helpful books here and warn about any others.
