A friend of mine years ago had a "Stealth Credit Card". That's what he called it anyway. He had the bill go to a PO box or something like that so she never saw it. He used his "SCC" to buy "computer geek supplies" without telling her.

She just didn't understand the needs of the computer nerd. Instead of a new computer she would want say... a new dishwasher, or remodel the living room... useless stuff like that.

Shoot! You beat me to it. I deleted his post. He has been whinning about some conspiracy theory to "rip us off". I get sick of his drivel.

I've run spam checks past his stuff - his stuff is the kind of junk to have a loaded period in it somewhere.

Nice to see America is providing such high literacy tuition to the young generation ... almost up to the standard of my Cambodian Engleesh written standards

I article edit part-time for a local tourist magazine - One of my colleagues wrote in an article about the popular Sihanoukville beach, [lit] "Foreigner like exposing themselves on the sand".

In another article, he wrote "The [visiting US Navy] sailors were very friendly with the locals": I'm sure they were but that wasn't what he meant :D

Call me a spoil sport but these gems didn't make it into print. :P

If he learned to use white space and line feeds, he might become a little more understandable.

Without it, it's junk.

Definitely buy AS. It is fantastic, especially for the price. I have used it since it's Moho days and it is consistently an excellent product. Well worth it's comparatively cheap price tag.

The only thing that comes close for the the price is Animation Master, but that is for 3D work...and they have an excellent deal going on right now...$49 US gets you a years subscription to the full download of the software. It is like the 3D equivalent of Anime Studio. The bone system is almost as easy to use as well.

If you want to do credit card purchases without using your regular card, get a preloaded Mastercard or Visa. They don't use credit, so they are safer than regular cards for online purchases because they only ever have what money you load onto them...like a debit card. load what you want to spend and go.

Won't show up on your regular card bill either, keeping your wife out of the loop.

Not that I am advocating keeping secrets from your wife...

...of course that only works if you don't actually require the credit from your regular card to begin with.

Martin Hash just gave me my own forum section at the Animation:Master forums! Wooohooo! Welcome to Vern's World!

I will have to split my time now between here and there.

Now if I could just get something like that here... :)

Vern,

Congrats. I am surprised you don't have that here, though -- you can delete posts, so I did assume you had at least mod status, correct?

Marty's been around the graphics world a long, long time -- I used to talk with him about 20 years ago when he was first starting out in the 3D world. While HASH never did it for me (I went the 3D Studio route) I'm really glad he's been successful over the years. There have been a lot of others who have come and gone and it's a tribute to his efforts that he's still here.

Looks like you have your work cut out for you. I looked at the forum for Animation:Master and it had a notice that there hadn't been any post for the last thirty days. http://www.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/forumdisplay.php?f=43
Your announcement scares me more than the annoucement from Lostmarble selling to eFrontier. :(
This forum won't be the same.

Don't worry! I will just not be spending 100% of my time over there. There is plenty of Vern to go around. ;)

????

I have no idea what that 3dbuzz site is indicating but the AM forum is busier than a one legged man at an arse kicking contest. No post in 30 days? They would have to shut it down and bury it in a deep hole to keep people off that forum... for 5 minutes let alone 30 days!
