Nested Bones

Post by Psynema »

Can you nest bones anyway in ASP? Remember trying a while back and couldn't get it to work.

I want a basic bone for the body, then a more detailed Bones nested within for facial features - so brows, hair etc would have their own bones separate from the whole head so the head doesn't morph, but nested in the main bone so if I tilt the neck , the hair and eyebrows still move accordingly.

I also remember having trouble attaching the built in mouths to a skeleton set - I'd move the skeleton, with the mouth nested in but the mouth wouldn't move

You can put bone layers inside bone layers inside bone layers, each with its own number of bones for whatever purpose. Just don't forget to bind the layers to a bone ...

Do you know how to make the mouth move with the head? I put a mouth switch file in a bone of a character, but the mouth won't move along with it.

Please read and do the basic tutorials (all) that come with the software. Also this old online tutorial version is so helpful.
