Thanks guys. I hear what you're saying funksmaname, and I do intend to use actions for plenty of things. Right now I am only using switch layers for head turns and blinks, actions will come into it when I have a fully rigged skeleton and I plan to use them primarily for moving the body. However, it ...

Switch layers within switch layers?
Hello again. Simple question this time which I haven't even tried so I might be cheating by coming here first for advice, but I thought that maybe I could save myself some time before going down that avenue. Can switch layers be layers within switch layers? i.e. Can I have one switch layer with cert...

Genete's solution.
Update: I found this http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8678&highlight=blinking+headturn The answer provided by Genete 3rd post down. But is there no way that this can be done using switch layers? My bone rig is going to be complex enough, I really wanted to try and solve this befor...

Blinking during a headturn - My brain has fried!
Hey guys I know there is a way to do this but my brain is just not playing ball - I can't put it together in my head, maybe you can help. I am doing a switch layer head turn. The eyelid is in its own switch layer which I can get to open and closed interpolated during the head turn. What I am having ...

Stealing frames from interpolating switch layers?
Okay this is either a genius question or a really stupid and obvious one. I have the head turning right, for which I have each layer on a switch layer interpolated. I have used only two drawn layers between them. If I want my character to stop on a 3/4 turn say, and rather than drawing the inbetween...

Thankyou sbtamo. Much appreciated :D Maybe this deserves a thread of its own but do you happen to know whether I can steal an interpolated frame from between my switches. What I mean is, I have the head turning right, for which I have each layer on a switch layer interpolated. I have used only two d...

Have you checked to see if there was a keyframe on the layer with a new line width? Maybe try to remove all animation from that layer will solve this. Hard to tell with out the file really! Tried removing all animation from the document and starting again. Same result. http://www.mediafire.com/?844...

Interpolating Line Thickness
I am trying to create a head turn using switch layers and all was going hunky dory - with smooth interpolation for the points and thus the shape. However, I have hit a snag: When I play the animation, the changes in line thickness between the two layers does not interpolate like the shape, it happen...

open an old file where you didnt have to do this and compare! You can only attach things to bones one level above them i think...? Good idea, will give that a try. Edit: In other files I have layers within group layers within group layers and switch layers that have behaved themselves and stuck wit...

Sorry guys, I appreciate your suggestions and all but none of them are working. If I select a layer within the bone layer, the 'Bind Points' tool is available to me. But if I select a layer within a group layer within a bone layer it is greyed out. It is the group layer I am trying to bind to the sk...
