Yeah, I did this test a little while back with that method. I was just wondering if there was a better way. Maybe this is the best way to do it then. Thanks Synthasin.

Any solutions to 3 joint legs?
I've been experimenting for a while on how to make a 3 joint leg. You know, so knees bend properly. But 3 bones in an IK setup bend really weirdly, the arc solver doesn't help either. I've tried moving the calf bone in an action, which almost works, but then the leg doesn't point to the foot correct...

Yes! But not just on and off. It would be nice to have a percentage to smoothly transition it from 100% influence and 0%. Similarly, I would like to be able to animate which bones are control bones. That way I can have an arm with bones that reference two other sets of bones, an IK set and an FK set...

I never said Moho needs to work on the z axis. In fact, it’s better if it doesn’t. But it DOES need a strong method to handle foreshortening, which I think could be achieved by using the scale of smart bones to mimic moving on the z axis.
